Spring sports are getting fired up and we're excited to have you all join. Below are basic details for programs starting up in the next few weeks. For sport specific questions reach out to the respective director. If interested in becoming a coach/volunteering see the bottom of the email for info on obtaining a coaches card.

Softball - sign ups start TUESDAY: Spring Run Elem School foyer from 6-7 PM every Tuesday in January. 24th and 31st) Depending on numbers - another may be added in February.
Money: $150 to play! SRAA membership fee $20 for returning members. (was not charged fall of 22 so if you only played fall ball then you were not charged this fee) If you are able to reuse your jersey from last season you will receive a $20 discount. If you are reusing your jersey please have your number with you!
UNIFORM: All girls are required to purchase gray softball pants; a visor can be purchased for an additional $10. With your fee you will receive navy blue socks and a jersey. Jerseys fitting will be done at each sign up.
Equipment: Your daughter will need cleats, glove and helmet. A face mask is optional as well as a bat. Each team has a team bat provided by the association.
Practices: pending county scheduled - Spring Run, Rockwood, Bird, Old Clover Hill or Crenshaw Elem. Practices can start the 1st week of March.
Games: Official schedule pending - start the Monday after Spring Break! I do not know the days you will play but you can plan to have at least 2 games a week and more than likely at the Bird softball complex.

FEES: All levels $100 - Payment is required at the time of registration (online, cash or check made payable to Spring Run Athletic Association)
Game Uniform - T-shirt, shorts, bow to be provided by SRAA. Athletic wear to be worn to practices with appropriate athletic footwear.
MEMBERSHIP: $50.00 per family for the first year/$20.00 renewal per family per year calendar school year (SRAA membership year is July 1st to June 30)
Practice - Tuesday and Thursdays starting March 7th at the Spring Run Bus Loop

GOAL- allow players to work on skill development and team camaraderie during the off season in a competitive environment. Practices begin March 6th with the first game of the season on April 15th. Total cost is $100 per player and includes a game shirt.
The 4 Divisions:
- 7U ages 5-7
- 9U ages 8/9
- 11U ages 10/11
- 14U ages 12-14 (14 year old's may play as long as they do not turn 15 before 07/31/2023.)
Games: 5 Game Season - Only 2 practices per week.
- Week 1 - Saturday, April 15th
- Week 2 - Saturday, April 22nd
- Week 3 - Saturday, April 29th
- Week 4 - Saturday, May 6th
- Week 5 - Saturday, May 13th
- Tournament - Thursday, May 18th; Friday, May 19th and Saturday, May 20th

Cost Includes: hat, jersey, belt, socks
- 4-6 year old coach pitch $125
- 7-16 year old kid pitch $175
Non included equipment needed: glove, helmet, baseball pants, water bottle
Optional: batting gloves, bat
Practice schedule is dictated by Chesterfield County and will be distributed as soon as available.
Volunteer opportunities:
If interested in volunteering as a coach, a coach’s card is required. Coaches are not allowed to coach during practices, games, or any rec surface without a valid coaches card.
Cards are obtained in person Chesterfield Police Headquarters. (finger printed and background check.) Card are valid for 3 years. Status of card can be check checked on the link below.
